Am liebsten entwickelt e27 "clevere Funktionen und einfache Lösungen", die sie sowohl im Web als auch im Grafik-, Corporate- und Produktdesign umsetzen.Ziel ist die kreative Integration erreichbarer Lösungen in einem neuen Kontext. Ein Zusatznutzen ergibt sich aus dem Potential der Kombination des methodologischen Ansatzes bei Multimedia-Projekten und dem Entwicklungsprozess bei dreidimensionalen Produkten.

Es geht ums Prinzip: 
Bei e27 ist immer ein Prinzip die Grundlage einer Idee. Auf der Suche nach der sinnvollen Anwendung im Produkt analysieren und abstrahieren wir dieses Prinzip. Am Ende dieser dokumentierten Suche steht das Produkt.

The Berlin-based design agency e27 was established by Tim Brauns, Hendrik Gackstatter and Fax Quintus to incorporate different areas of design, including web-, graphic-, corporate and product design into a consolidated design environment. The agency’s three designers tackle new product design with an eye to clever function and simple solutions, creatively integrating feasible solutions into new contexts. Added value lies in the potential of combining the methodical approach of multimedia projects with the development process applied to three-dimensional products.

It's all about principles:
Our ideas are always based on a basic principle. In our quest to find satisfying solutions we  analyse and abstract this principle. The finished product is the end of the documented search process.

The Series of outdoor lamps for the manufacturer Domus-Licht are based on the indoor lamp PIT. PIT OUT LARGE is three meters tall and has an enormous lampshade which also acts as a shelter from the rain. PIT OUT is made of powder coated steel and larch. "Think Big, think Pit" With its spade the PIT OUT MEDIUM and PIT OUT SMALL can be placed individually in garden or open space. They are made of powder coated steel and larch.

Möbel aus 2D Abwicklungen dreidimensional wachsen zu lassen ist die Grundidee bei Loll. Wenn lasergeschnittenes Blech bis zu seiner größten Ausweitung gezogen wird, entsteht eine Statik und damit eine hohe Belastbarkeit. Aus diesem Weitertragen eines simplen Prinzips erblühen eine Liege und ein Beistelltisch.

The idea of Loll is to transfer the idea of stretching metal from 2D to 3D into furniture solutions. Stretching the laser cut steel sheet up to maximal strain creates a static equilibrium. With this simple but ingenious technique, a metal sheet just 3 mm thick has been turned into a lounger and a coffee table.

Die LOLL-Familie wird um ein Mitglied erweitert. LOLL TOWER folt der Idee aus einer 2D Abwicklung ein statisches Möbel mit einer hohen Belastbarkeit zu generieren.

Zizou follows the imagine of a simple and straight led-illuminant build in a straight and simple work of wood. With its two hinges it can be swiveled 360° in x and y directions.

Prototype

Im Vorfeld der Mailänder Möbelmesse 2010 wurde das Konzept Linus entwickelt. Neben 3D Visualisierungen wurden bereits Prototypen der Serie hergestellt. Dazu gehört die Linus Garderobe, die neben der Wandbefestigung auch auf dem Boden aufsitzt. Durch den Rohranschnitt im 90 Grad Winkel scheint Linus aus dem Boden bis in die Wand zu wachsen.

Sepia ist ein Garderobenhaken der aus der Wand blüht. Das Prinzip des Streckmetalls, einen Körper von der zweiten in die dritte Dimension wachsen zu lassen, wird bei Sepia auf der Horizontalachse vollzogen. Durch die vielen Einschnitte erlaubt Sepia das Anhängen von mehreren Garderobenhaken bei kleinem Volumen.

Bei Pit ist ein Prinzip die Grundlage der Leuchte. Auf der Suche nach der sinnvollen Anwendung im Produkt analysieren und abstrahieren wir das Prinzip des Verkantens.
